What personal data we collect and why we collect it
The COG Network does collect personal data, such as name, email address, personal account preferences; transactional data, such as purchase information; and technical data, such as information about cookies. By default WordPress does not collect any personal data about visitors, and only collects the data shown on the User Profile screen from registered users. We do not intend on sharing or selling any personal data with/to any third party. Here is more information about what we collect:
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. It is possible for visitors to the website to download and extract any location data from images on the website.
When you submit information to any contact form, poll, or other form on the COG Network website, the information you enter is recorded by EWC. We keep that data for 2 years after entry for (1) customer service purposes, (2) for the purpose of the COG Network admins receiving feedback about what Network members would like to see in terms of decisions about events the network will hold and features the website will change or add, and (3) for the purpose of tracking analytics on use and approval of the site itself.

Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Who we share your data with
WordPress itself does not share personal data with any third party. If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. IP address information is only used for general location data. It will never be sold or shared to/with any third party.
